An 81-acre photovoltaic power generating project within the Greater New Bedford Business Park in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The project involved site work and stormwater management systems within the buffer zone to a bordering vegetated wetland, two (2) wetland crossings to access upland portions of the site and the selective clearing of trees within the first 30’ of the bordering vegetated wetland to minimize the impacts of shading on the proposed facility.

VIEW PROJECT DETAILS

North Street, Mattapoisett, MA

The North Street project consisted of the layout to layout reconstruction of the roadway including profile adjustments to improve surface drainage, new ADA & AAB (Architectural Access Board) compliant sidewalks, accessible ramps and coordination of public and private utility improvements. A hydrologic analysis and complete re-design of the street drainage system was also part of this project. This re-design included recharge structures to treat the stormwater from the roadway which discharges adjacent to the Town Beach. Services provided for this project also included the preparation of public bidding documents and construction contract administration including resident engineering.

Raw Seafoods, Currant Road, Fall River, MA

The project involved the redevelopment of an existing industrial facility in Fall River, MA. This redevelopment involved a 125,000-square foot addition to an existing 68,000-square foot building, the reconfiguration and expansion of parking, and new loading facilities. Site challenges included substantial grade differences across the site, ledge and groundwater control below the freezer warehouse slab. Permitting for this project involved submittals and review with the Fall River Industrial Commission, the Fall River Conservation Commission, the Fall River Planning Department, the Fall River Planning Department and the Fall River City Council.

Phase IV Expansion – Myles Standish Industrial Park, Charles F. Colton Road, Taunton, MA

Charles F. Colton Road commenced the expansion of the Myles Standish Industrial Park (MSIP) into the adjacent former 220-acre Dever School property in Taunton, MA. The expansion project was State and Federally funded through the MassWorks Infrastructure Program and the Federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) Office.

The conception of the project involved extensive State and Federal agency interaction and environmental coordination through the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA). The initial phases of the project involved the demolition and remediation of the existing Dever School buildings and infrastructure followed by the construction of approximately 3,700-linear feet of new access roadway complete with public utility extensions and stormwater management systems. Specific elements of the project included water distribution and sewerage collection systems designed together with the preparation of construction specifications and contract documents meeting State and Federal public bidding requirements. Construction phase services included quality assurance/quality control services such as construction contract administration and resident inspection services. Post construction phase services included assisting in the project close-out with State and Federal agencies, preparation of record drawings and obtaining acceptance of the roadway by the City of Taunton.
